Common questions
What is a good first resin project?
Coasters are ideal: small, cheap to redo if something goes wrong, and they teach measuring, mixing, coloring and demolding. A set of four 4-inch coasters 1/4 inch deep needs about 8 fl oz of mixed resin.
How much resin does a river table need?
It depends on the channel size and depth. A 48 × 8 inch channel 1.5 inches deep needs about 2.7 gallons with extra. The River Table Epoxy Calculator handles uneven channels and layers.
Can I make my own silicone molds?
Yes. Build a box around your model with about 1/2 inch of space on each side, then pour mold silicone over it. The Silicone Mold Volume Calculator tells you how much silicone to buy.
